AK Handguard Length Guide
Choosing the correct handguard length is important when upgrading your AK platform or carbine. Zenitco offers four different handguard lengths to accommodate various front assembly lengths, use preferences, and accessory configurations.
The comparison below demonstrates the difference between all four handguard lengths using the same AK platform with a 415 mm (16.3") front assembly. Depending on the selected length, several different handguard models or complete kits may be available.
Important: The platform shown in the comparison features a 415 mm front assembly. For shorter AK variants such as the AK-104, AK-105, and Saiga 033, only the Short and Long handguard options are compatible.
1. Short Handguards
Short handguards extend to the handguard retainer, matching the length of the factory handguard. They are the only models fully compatible with factory launcher interfaces.

2. Long Handguards
