Vzor Multi-Function Red Dot Sights: Vzor-2 vs Vzor-4 Comparison

Modern weapon accessories are evolving beyond single-purpose optics. Instead of carrying multiple standalone devices, shooters increasingly prefer integrated systems that combine aiming, target designation, and illumination into a single compact unit. This philosophy is at the core of the Vzor product family.

While many shooters are familiar with the classic Vzor-1 red dot sight, the Vzor lineup has expanded to include advanced multifunction systems known as Multivzors—devices that integrate several tactical capabilities without sacrificing reliability or ergonomics.

What Is a Multivzor?

A Multivzor is an integrated aiming system built around the proven Vzor-1 red dot sight while incorporating additional tactical tools into the same housing.

Instead of mounting separate accessories, the shooter receives a single compact unit that combines multiple essential functions, reducing weight, minimizing rail space usage, and improving overall handling.

Currently, the Multivzor family includes two models:

Although both devices share the same optical foundation, they are designed for slightly different operational requirements.

Vzor-2

The Vzor-2 combines three essential functions into one device:

  • Red Dot Sight (based on the Vzor-1 platform)
  • Visible Laser
  • Infrared (IR) Laser

This configuration provides everything necessary for both daytime use and night vision operations while maintaining a compact footprint.

Power Source

The Vzor-2 is powered by a CR123 battery, a widely available lithium cell commonly used in tactical equipment.

Replacing the battery is straightforward, but charging is not supported—the CR123 battery must simply be replaced when depleted.

Vzor-4

The Vzor-4 builds upon the Vzor-2 by adding another important capability.

It includes:

  • Red Dot Sight (based on the Vzor-1 platform)
  • Visible Laser
  • Infrared (IR) Laser
  • Infrared Illuminator

The integrated IR illuminator significantly improves performance when using night vision equipment, especially in complete darkness where additional infrared illumination is required.

Rechargeable Power System

Unlike the Vzor-2, the Vzor-4 uses a rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery.

One of its most convenient features is the ability to recharge the battery without removing it from the device.

Charging can be performed using:

  • Wall charger
  • USB power bank
  • Compatible external power source

The charging interface uses the same connector as the remote pressure switch, simplifying the overall design while eliminating the need to remove the battery during extended use.

This makes the Vzor-4 particularly well suited for professional users and extended field operations.

Why Integrated Systems Matter

Modern tactical equipment increasingly favors hybrid devices that combine multiple functions into one platform.

This approach offers several advantages:

  • Reduced weight
  • Less rail space occupied
  • Improved balance
  • Simplified controls
  • Increased reliability
  • Faster target acquisition

Rather than mounting separate optics, lasers, and illuminators, shooters benefit from a single integrated solution engineered to work together seamlessly.

The Evolution of Hybrid Tactical Devices

The development of the Multivzor series follows a long-standing engineering philosophy: combining proven technologies with new innovations.

This design approach has already produced several successful integrated systems, including:

  • Klesch-2PS + Laser, combining a tactical flashlight with an integrated laser.
  • The Perst series, which merges multiple aiming technologies into unified laser modules.
  • The Leader Kit with the Perst Leader, integrating mounting solutions and aiming devices into a single platform.

The Multivzor series represents the next step in this evolution by bringing the same hybrid philosophy to red dot optics.

Future Development

The Vzor platform has been designed with future expansion in mind.

Now that the core technology has been successfully developed and proven, additional multifunction configurations are expected. Future models may combine the established Vzor red dot platform with new capabilities and technologies, continuing the trend toward increasingly versatile integrated aiming systems.

As hybrid tactical devices become more capable, the Vzor family is expected to remain a key part of this evolution, offering shooters compact, reliable, and feature-rich solutions for both daytime and night operations.
