SAG Chassis Systems
SAG chassis systems are complete free-float upgrades for AK, SVD and Los-145 sport carbines. Each chassis is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and adds a monolithic 1913 top rail for in-line optics, with M-LOK or ARCA along the handguard. Free-floating the barrel improves consistency for sport shooting and training.
The SAG Chassis Line
- MK3 and MK3 SLIM — AK free-float chassis with a continuous top rail and M-LOK handguard, in 4-slot and 7-slot versions.
- MK4 — 5-slot AK chassis with rear sight cutout, plus a compact AKSU-length option.
- MK1 for Marksman platforms — SVD free-float chassis with a long monolithic 1913 rail and 20 MOA.
- Los-145 chassis — M-LOK and ARCA chassis with a choice of adjustable stock or AR stock adapter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which platform is each chassis for?
MK3 and MK4 fit stamped-receiver AK-platform sport carbines. MK1 fits SVD-pattern Marksman platforms with a side dovetail. The Los-145 line is made for the Los-145 platform. Check each product note for exact fitment.
Do I remove the optic to clean the carbine?
No. The monolithic top rail stays in place during routine maintenance, so the optic keeps its zero after cleaning.
Why free-float the barrel?
A free-floated barrel is isolated from handling and support pressure, which improves consistency when resting on a barricade, bag or bipod.
Can I install a chassis myself?
Some chassis are end-user installable with basic tools; others, especially SVD and Los-145 systems, are best fitted by a gunsmith. Always follow the SAG installation manual.
