The SAG MK4 Chassis (S20193) by Sureshot Armament Group is a complete solution for adding optics and lighting to compact AKSU-type sporting platforms without any modification to the original carbine. Installation requires removing the factory receiver cover, gas tube, and handguard.
Once installed, the chassis fully free-floats the barrel inside a tubular handguard and provides a continuous 1913-MIL-STD top monorail running over the barrel and receiver, from the gas block to the end of the shortened receiver cover. The front section of the rail does not require removal for field-stripping, the stock still folds completely for transport, and the iron sights are not blocked.
The removable rear receiver-cover section carries its own 1913-MIL-STD segment for optics that do not need to retain zero - such as a magnifier for a red dot, or a night-vision attachment. If the carbine reaches the end of its service life, the chassis can be reinstalled on a new carbine.
