Overview

The MK4 chassis rebuilds a compact AKSU-type carbine around a tubular free-float handguard and a continuous top rail. The barrel floats inside the tube, so nothing the shooter does to the handguard reaches the barrel.

The top rail is a 1913-MIL-STD monorail running from the gas block to the shortened cover, with a further 1913 segment on the removable rear cover section. On a carbine this short, a continuous rail is the only way to get an optic, a magnifier and a light onto the same plane.

Installation requires no machining, and the front rail stays in place for field-stripping. Folding stocks still fold. The chassis can be removed and reinstalled on another carbine later, which is unusual in this class - CNC-milled high-strength aluminum alloy throughout.

Installation requires removing the factory receiver cover, gas tube, and handguard. The chassis must be installed in accordance with the included manual.
