The Zenitco "Leader" kit is an advanced modular handguard system for AK-pattern sporting platforms with a barrel of at least 415 mm. Built for advanced users, it turns a classic AK-pattern platform into a modern, fully configurable setup.

Important: The Leader kit is not compatible with shortened barrels (minimum 415 mm).

Design and Compatibility

At the core of the Leader kit is Zenitco's proprietary Basis rail system. Rails are located on all four sides, enabling direct installation of compatible accessories without extra adapters.

Compatible equipment includes:

For Picatinny-compatible accessories, optional Picatinny rails (sold separately) can be installed at any position on the Basis rail: B-2, B-2L, B-2M, B-2U.

Perst-4 Integration

Installation Overview

Ensure the platform is unloaded before installation.

Perform partial disassembly: remove the standard handguard and gas tube, then remove the factory gas tube cover.
Install the B-10L rail in place of the standard handguard:
- Install the standard handguard retainer onto the B-10L;
- The front pin must enter the cleaning rod hole in the retainer. If the retainer has no cleaning rod hole (e.g. TG2), file off only the pin;
- Insert the rear part of the handguard into the receiver;
- Using a wooden or metal spacer, gently tap the handguard into place. Do not file the handguard - a tight fit is essential for holding zero;
- Close the handguard retainer lever.
Install the gas tube and lock it with the fixation lever.
Install the B-31 Leader rail.
Install the DL Leader rail.
Connect B-10L and DL Leader on the side using the Leader side bar (use longer M5x9 screws).
Connect all other parts (B-10L, B-31, DL Leader) using M5x7 screws.
Connect B-10L and DL Leader from the bottom using the Leader hand stopper.
Install the Leader hook as shown in the manual. If the fit is tight, use a hammer with a spacer.
