In short: the Zenitco B-11U (Classic) is a lightweight, one-piece CNC-milled D16T aluminum handguard that installs in the standard handguard position of AK-pattern carbines. It forms a Picatinny rail on the bottom plus two Bazis guide rails on the sides and a mini Bazis rail underneath, so accessories can mount directly on the Bazis rails or on the Picatinny. At just 95 g it is the lighter sibling of the B-11.

Overview

The B-11U is the lightweight handguard in the Zenitco B-11 family, cut from a single piece of D16T aluminum alloy and finished in black, desert or golden khaki. It replaces the standard lower handguard of the AK-pattern and of carbines built on that receiver.

A full Picatinny section runs along the bottom for lights, aiming modules, front grips and additional brackets. Two Bazis guides sit on the sides, with a third short Bazis guide underneath - a natural place for the RL-1 hand stop. Bazis takes B-2, B-2L, B-2M and B-2U Picatinny adapters, A-1L and A-2L swivels, the A-4 QD swivel bracket, NPN-2 panels, FP-3 wire holders and D-series remote switches.

Because the B-11U is short and open, it improves barrel cooling and keeps the compact balance of the carbine intact. B-19 and B-19N upper rails fit above it, and RK-0, RK-1, RK-2, RK-4, RK-5 and RK-6 grips mount on the bottom Picatinny.
