Overview
The Rumpel bolts into any pair of M-LOK slots with two DIN 7984 M4x8 screws and T-nuts, and puts a standard 9.7 mm QD socket 9 mm above the handguard. It takes any standard QD swivel, including swivels from other manufacturers, and at 20 g it does not register on the balance of the handguard.
The construction is the same as the rest of the family and it is what the line is really about: structural steel, heat treated, with the surface additionally hardened by carbonitriding. A steel QD swivel working in an alloy socket will wear it oval over time and eventually let go; this one keeps its shape. The inner cup is cut with recesses that index the swivel and stop it rotating on its axis, so a single-point sling does not wind up as you move. As always with QD, the swivel is the weak link - choose a good one.
