Overview
Sport-5U is the extended version of Sport-5 for RPK-pattern carbines with the retaining catch on the ferrule. It uses the longer B-31U/RPK rail over the gas tube and the DL-5 extension insert on the same B-20L handguard.
Five Bazis guides carry the accessories. It also opens up the barrel between the receiver and the gas block, which helps cooling on a long string.

The Sport-5U replaces the standard handguard and the cover over the gas-tube area with a rigid, ventilated rail platform. It provides Bazis guide rails on five sides, so you can attach Bazis-compatible equipment - Picatinny rail sections, sling swivels, hand stops, grips, pressure pads, cover panels and wire holders - directly to the handguard without adapters. The open design also improves airflow around the barrel between the receiver and the gas tube.
The complete kit is machined from D16T aluminum alloy with a protective coating. It weighs about 390 g (+/- 10 g), is about 330 mm long and is rated for a working temperature range of -50 to +50 C.
