Overview
The S20175 is a single milled piece that does two jobs: it is the receiver cover, and it is the optic mount. Because there is no cover underneath it, the rail sits lower than any mount that has to clear one - this is the lowest optical axis available on a side-rail platform.
The rail runs 19 slots of 1913-MIL-STD at 0 MOA, long enough to place almost any optic at the eye relief it wants, including a red dot with a magnifier behind it.
It locks to the standard side dovetail rail through a quick-detach mechanism with a steel clamp and lever, so the whole assembly comes off by hand. The monolithic construction is what keeps a part this long rigid: there are no joints between the clamp and the far end of the rail. CNC-milled from high-strength aluminum alloy.
