Overview
The ATOM is SAG's answer to the question of how little a stock can weigh and still use well. The frame is milled from high-strength aluminum alloy and skeletonised; the cheek riser and buttplate are glass-filled polyamide, which keeps mass off the rear of the carbine without giving up a solid contact surface.
The cheek riser is height-adjustable across two positions, so the comb can be set low for iron sights or raised for an optic. Both versions bring the carbine to the 800 mm overall length required of civilian short-barrel carbines.
Two mounting units are offered. The S20297 uses an aluminum unit and carries its QD sling socket on the adapter; the S20298 uses a steel unit with the QD socket on the stock body itself. The aluminum unit is the lighter choice, the steel unit the more robust one - the stock above it is identical.
