It roughly doubles the grip surface, so the action is far easier and faster to cycle, even with gloves or cold hands. Machined from D16T aluminum alloy; only about 14 g. The RP-4 is a simple, rugged upgrade to the factory charging handle of compact short-barrel AK-pattern carbines. Its deeply ribbed cylindrical body slips over the standard reciprocating handle and is locked in place with two screws on the top face, giving a much larger and more positive purchase for cocking. This makes charging quicker and more comfortable during sport shooting and training - particularly when wearing gloves or working in the cold.
A genuine Zenitco factory part machined from D16T aluminum alloy; it measures about 22 x 20 mm and weighs only about 14 g. Rated for a working temperature range of -50 to +50 C.
Compatibility Note: Designed for compact short-barrel AK-pattern carbines and carbines built on that platform. It fits their standard reciprocating charging handle.
