In short: a compact two-piece cover that clamps over the metal ferrule of your handguard and shields your support hand from the heat that builds up there during extended range use. Machined from aluminum alloy with a hard-wearing black anodized finish, it ships complete with its mounting screws and installs without altering the original handguard.

Overview

The Handguard Ferrule Cover shields the range use hand from the standard steel ferrule, which gets hot during sustained fire. The cover simply closes it off.

It was designed for the Leader kit and mounts there with two M5x9 screws, supplied with the cover. Compatibility with other kits varies: Sport-2 works and needs one screw; Sport-1 works with the updated model whose upper bracket leg is slotted for a cam clamp, but not with older ones; the B-30U handguard is not compatible.
