Overview
Light is a cocoon cut for warm weather, so the insulation is a single 180 g per square metre layer of Thinsulate rather than the heavy fill the winter models carry. Comfort sits between +8 C and +12 C with an extreme of 0 C, which covers most summer nights and shoulder-season nights under a tent.
The shell is taffeta rip-stop 210D with a TPU 1000/1000 membrane - lighter than the winter shells and enough to keep ground damp and condensation out. The lining is cotton with a fifth of viscose. Packed, it comes down to 38 x 17 x 17 cm at 1235 g with the sack, and the same cocoon doubles as an inner bag inside the Expert-Tex Defender when you want to push that bag colder.
