Where the Assault configuration runs a 50 mm pad, the Heavy widens it to 70 mm and drops quick-release snap hooks entirely in favour of sewn loops. Overview

DOLG built the Heavy configuration around one problem: a support platform or a long precision build does not get lighter as the day goes on. The answer here is a 70 mm wide soft expansion pad instead of the 50 mm section used on the lighter models, so the same mass is spread across noticeably more shoulder area. The webbing itself is elastic and gives roughly 5 cm under load, which takes the sharp edge off every step and every shift of weight.

The signature pull tape changes the length by up to 45 cm in one motion, from 115 cm at the shortest to 160 cm at the longest, so you can drop the sling long for transport and cinch it tight to the body without stopping. DOLG deliberately left quick-release snap hooks off this model: on a heavy build the failure of a snap hook is the one thing you cannot afford, so every attachment point is a sewn loop. A stock loop with a half-ring is supplied in the box for platforms whose stock neck has no mounting point.
