In short: the DOLG Heavy QD is the wide-pad Heavy sling rebuilt on two QD PB quick-detach swivels, so a heavy build can come off the body in a second without unthreading anything. It is the quick-detach twin of the Heavy configuration and shares its 70 mm pad; the Assault QD covers the same idea with a 50 mm pad for lighter builds.

Overview

The Heavy QD keeps everything that makes the Heavy work under load - the 70 mm soft expansion pad, the elastic webbing with roughly 5 cm of give, the 160 kg rating - and changes only how it attaches. Both ends terminate in QD PB quick-detach swivels, so the sling comes off in a second and goes back on just as fast, which matters when the platform has to be handed over, stowed or set down.

The pull tape adjusts the sling by up to 45 cm in one motion, from 115 cm to 160 cm, so it can be run long for transport and pulled tight to the body without stopping. At approximately 350 g it is slightly lighter than the sewn-loop Heavy. Note that the stock wrap with a QD base is not included: if the platform has no rear QD socket you will need that wrap as a separate item.
