In short: a short webbing wrap with a steel D-ring - it cinches around a tube, a rail or a strap and gives you a hard point to clip a carabiner or a sling hook to.
Overview
Sometimes all that is missing is somewhere to clip. This is a band of webbing with a plastic cam buckle and a steel D-ring sewn into a reinforced tab: wrap it round whatever you have, pull the tail through the buckle, and the D-ring is your attachment point. Nothing is drilled and nothing is permanent.
The D-ring is steel rather than plastic, so it takes a carabiner or a snap hook without flexing, and the reinforced box-stitched tab is what carries the load rather than the buckle. At 50 g it costs nothing to leave fitted, and it comes in black, green and coyote to match the rest of the range.
