Overview
Light target loads make less gas. On a stock piston that often means a short stroke: the carrier does not travel far enough, the next round does not feed, and the shooter blames the ammunition.
This piston reshapes the working faces so more of the available gas does useful work, and adds an anti-friction coating that lowers the force needed to start the piston moving. Together that widens the range of loads the action will run.
It is a direct replacement - same fit, 30 g, no modification to the gas block or the tube. Heavier loads keep working as before.

Start at your usual setting and adjust from there; the piston does not replace gas regulation.
How do I clean it?
Wipe carbon off with a normal solvent. Do not abrade the coated faces.
Does it change felt recoil?
