SMP PM-2 - Rounded, Snag-Free Steel
Every edge broken, so nothing catches on clothing or skin.
In short: A steel replacement rear sight for the Makarov sidearm with all corners rounded off. Built for carry, where a sharp sight is the part that snags and scratches.
Overview
A square-edged sight is fine on a range sidearm and a nuisance on a carried one. It catches the lining of a bag, it scrapes a hand during a fast draw, and it wears a bright line into whatever it rubs against.
The SMP PM-2 keeps a usable square notch but rounds every outside edge and corner. The profile is low and smooth, which is what a carry sight needs.
Steel, black, 10 g, fitted in the standard dovetail. Where the PM-1 buys visibility, the PM-2 buys a clean draw.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is it different from the PM-1?
The PM-1 adds a luminescent horseshoe notch and a longer sight radius. The PM-2 is about a smooth, snag-free profile.
Is the notch still square?
Yes - the notch is conventional; it is the outside of the sight that is rounded.
Does it glow?
No. If you want a luminescent notch, take the PM-1.
Do I need a new front sight?
No.
Is fitting hard?
It uses the standard dovetail, but a tight one may need a gunsmith.
Do I need to re-zero?
Confirm zero after any sight change.
