Overview
Narrow webbing digs in. The PAD is a soft sleeve that wraps a strap up to 40 mm wide and widens the bearing surface to 50 mm along 700 mm of length, so the load spreads instead of concentrating on one edge.
The shell is 280 g/m2 polyamide with a 1000 mm water column coating over 8 mm of closed-cell foam. The pad is built without internal seams and without binding tape: the raw edges are folded under the webbing channel, so there is no hard rib to rub through a shirt.
Five split hook-and-loop straps close in three layers, which is enough to hold the pad in place under load yet still let you move it along the strap or take it off without unthreading anything. The closed-cell foam also adds noticeable buoyancy.

Yes. The pad is sized for webbing up to 40 mm, and narrower straps sit inside the channel without any modification.
Do I have to unthread my sling to fit it?
No. The pad wraps around the strap from the side and closes with its own hook-and-loop straps.

The five straps close in three layers, which holds the pad in position while still letting you slide it by hand.
Why does the seamless build matter?
