Overview
The point of the Pillau III is where your hand ends up. Unlike most rail grips it has no flare or widening at the level of the clamp, so nothing pushes the hand down away from the rail - with a classic hold the hand sits as high as the design allows. At 65 mm and about 58 grams it is short and light enough that it does not change the balance of what it is fitted to.
Construction follows the rest of the RPT line: a duralumin body with a plain profile and no protruding parts, hard black anodising for wear resistance, and a dust and water sealed container inside the grip closed by a gasketed polymer cap that opens with a twist. The box includes both hex-socket and flat-slot screws, a hex key and a low-profile Picatinny rail pad.
