Overview
The cheapest way to make a sleeping bag last is to stop sleeping directly against it. A cotton liner takes the wear, the sweat and the dirt, and goes in the wash on its own - the bag stays clean and keeps its loft. It also adds a small amount of warmth and feels better against skin than a synthetic bag lining.
The fabric is cotton with 20 percent viscose for wear resistance. It closes with a reversible zip slider and has a drawcord with toggles at the top, so it can be pulled in to hold heat and stop draughts. Folded it is 205 x 80 cm; unzipped completely it opens to 205 x 160 cm, which is a full-size sheet. It weighs 630 g, 680 g with the sack, and packs to 25 x 16 x 6 cm.
