The Ecologist catches and collects spent cases instead of scattering them across the range. It mounts on the receiver cover Picatinny rail of AK-pattern and RPK-pattern carbines.
The mount is quick-detach and adjustable in two ways: the position of the bracket on the body of the catcher, and the tension of the quick-detach clamp itself. That means the pouch can be positioned clear of the ejection path on platforms that throw cases at different angles.
It weighs 127 g and comes with a black or a green pouch. A loop panel on the outside takes a patch - the Zenitka patch, for example. Before range use, always straighten the fabric pouch by pulling on its handles.
