Overview

The problem this shirt is designed around is not cold - it is the switch between static and dynamic. Standing still in the wet after working hard is what makes people cold, and an ordinary base layer that has soaked through makes it worse. X-Bionic answers it with structure: a particular weave and textured thermal zones placed where the body loses and needs heat, so excess heat is removed while the heat you need is retained.

The result is active self-regulation rather than simple insulation. The shirt holds a stable skin temperature around 37 °C, keeps sensitive and vulnerable zones from being chilled, and the long sleeves carry the same regulation down the arms. It is intended for the transitional seasons and winter, worn directly against the skin under a field shirt or jacket.
