In short: a split front pivot pin for AR-pattern receivers - it goes in without the detent-and-spring fight that loses parts across the room.
Overview
The standard AR front pivot pin needs a detent and spring held under compression while you drive the pin through. The split design does away with that: the pin carries its own retention, so it installs and comes out by hand.
Function once fitted is the same as the factory pin - the receivers hinge on it normally. The difference is entirely in assembly.
Compatibility: AR-pattern lower receivers.
