Overview
Twenty litres is the size you carry when the day is planned rather than open-ended, and the Rubicon 20 is built to take that load properly rather than hang it off your shoulders. The shell is 500D Cordura with a waterproof coating; the back panel carries a frame of shock-resistant flexible plastic that keeps the pack rigid so the weight rides on the harness instead of collapsing into your spine.
The anatomically shaped shoulder straps adjust for torso length and add a sternum strap and load-lifter pulls. Three zips open the main compartment wide. Inside, a back-panel pocket routes a hydration tube or a radio antenna and swallows awkward items, and two 3-litre internal pockets with compression pulls hold a bladder and loose kit. The lid has its own compartment for small items and a loop panel for patches and insignia, and MOLLE webbing on the outer faces takes pouches wherever you want them.
