Overview
A rain cover hides nothing - it is a smooth coloured shell, and at distance that is exactly what the eye picks out. The Chimera cover works the other way: the base is an open nylon mesh so it adds almost no weight, and the concealment comes from individual leaf elements attached across it that break the outline into fragments and move with the wind the way real foliage does.
The edge is bound with elastic tape, so the cover simply pulls over the pack and stays there without straps or clips. The stuff pouch is sewn into the inner face rather than supplied loose, so it cannot be lost and does not interfere in use. It is designed to complete a Chimera camouflage set, but works over any pack of the right volume.
